This year’s scholarship will be awarded to
Ms. Catherine T. Plunkett. Catherine currently works as a
pediatric nurse and her love of children and interest in
education and literacy has called her to a change in career.
She is completing her graduate coursework at
Western Kentucky University, where she is a member of
the Medallion Honor Society. She is excited about her
transition into school librarianship, and we look forward
to counting Catherine among our ranks in the near future. ______________________________________________________________________

The Jefferson County School Media Association (JCSMA) offers a
$600 scholarship in memory of former JCSMA member Lucy Marx.
The Lucy Marx Scholarship helps those who pursue professional
school librarianship training. Scholarship applications will
be available on the Web site in 2012 at the appropriate time.
